We are the Leierer Family – Nathan, Jewell, Jadeyn, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jackson and Jeanette. We are excited that the Lord has called us to be church planting missionaries to Portland, Oregon!
Nathan grew up in a Christian home received Christ as Saviour in 2002. He was baptized at Central Baptist Church in Clovis, California. Jewell received Christ in 1997 and was baptized at Salem Baptist Church, Salem, Oregon. Nathan and Jewell met at West Coast Baptist College. After Jewell graduated from college with a major in Bible and Missions in May 2009, she went on staff at Lancaster Baptist Church. Nathan and Jewell began a relationship in February and were engaged on December 31, 2010. In May 2011, Nathan graduated from college with a major in Bible and Church Ministries. After Nathan’s graduation, they were married in July. Nathan and Jewell continued to serve on staff at Lancaster Baptist Church for the next semester.
Pastor Stephen Brown, Jewell’s father, asked Nathan to be Associate Pastor at Salem Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon. They moved to Salem in January 2012 and served in many aspects of ministry, including children, teens, music, graphic design, and media. After serving there for almost 10 years, the Lord has directed them to be church planting missionaries in Portland, Oregon.
Nathan and Jewell have been blessed with five children: Jadeyn (10), Jedidiah (8), Jeremiah (7), Jackson (4), Jeanette (1), and one more on the way.
